Sungguh, hai bangsa di Sion yang diam di Yerusalem, engkau tidak akan terus menangis. Tentulah Tuhan akan mengasihani engkau, apabila engkau berseru-seru; pada saat Ia mendengar teriakmu, Ia akan menjawab.
Renungan:
“Allah yang Cepat Mendengar di Masa Penantian”
Ayat ini lahir dari situasi Israel yang gelisah dan tersesat, mereka mencari pertolongan ke Mesir, bukan kepada Tuhan. Namun yang menggetarkan hati adalah ini: di tengah ketidaksetiaan manusia, Allah tetap penuh belas kasihan. Ia bukan Allah yang jauh, tetapi Allah yang “segera menjawab” ketika umat-Nya kembali berseru.
Inilah jiwa Advent: masa ketika kita sadar betapa sering kita juga mencari penopang selain Tuhan: sibuk, kuat sendiri, tenggelam dalam rencana-rencana besar, tetapi hati kita tetap kosong. Advent mengingatkan kita bahwa penantian kita bukanlah penantian yang gelap. Allah bukan hanya melihat; Ia merespons. Allah tidak hanya mendengar; Ia menjawab dengan hadir.
Yesus, Sang Immanuel, adalah bukti paling nyata dari janji Yesaya: Allah yang datang karena kita berseru, Allah yang turun karena kita tidak mampu menyelamatkan diri. Advent mengajarkan bahwa kerinduan terdalam manusia bertemu dengan belas kasihan terbesar Allah.
Maka, jika hari ini hatimu letih, jika ada doa yang belum kau mengerti jawabannya, ingatlah bahwa Allah tidak menunda karena Ia jauh, tetapi karena Ia sedang membentuk kita agar siap menerima kedatangan-Nya. Seruan kita tidak hilang di udara; setiap helaan nafas penantian kita sudah terdengar di hadapan-Nya.
Advent mengajar kita menunggu dengan tenang, karena Ia yang kita nantikan adalah Allah yang penuh belas kasihan, yang menjawab segera ketika kita kembali berseru kepada-Nya. Tuhan dekat, lebih dekat dari yang kita kira.
